We stayed here because it has full service with 50amp. The roads were good, but very dusty. WIFI was not always wonderful. They do not heat the swimming pool after Labor Day. The staff was very helpful with maps and information about the area. The sites were wide, level, and long enough to accommodate both our rig and our dinghy. The utility placement was convenient and didn’t interfere with our bay doors or our slides. They do recycle cans. Yes, there is constant interstate noise. There is shade if you want it, but if you are going to use your satellite, be sure to tell them when you make the reservation.

As you approach the campground, the exit comes first and then the entrance. Our pull-through was nice and level with the utilities well-placed. The staff will not only pickup the garbage in the AM, but if you package recyclables (aluminum, plastic etc) in a see-through bag, they will pick up those also. There was good water pressure, but WI-FI wasn’t the best on a rainy day when everyone stayed home. We could see a cell phone tower, but did not have good service with Sprint. Baileys Harbor is on the east side of the peninsula about half way up into Door County. This makes it an excellent location for day trips. We picked up a county road map for Door County, and that was very useful. Management staff was helpful with information about the area. We would have no problem staying here again for an extended period of time.

Our days here included the holiday so we made our reservation (for a week) early and made them for a specific site. There is one row of sites that have the utility connections that have the rigs back-to-back. Our friends made their reservation for the site across from us so our doors would open to the same common area. About two weeks before arrival, the campground called us to confirm that we were coming. Several days before arrival, we called the campground to confirm the reservation. She said all was fine but she would check her paperwork and call if there was a problem. When we arrived, there was only one rig in our whole row and it was in the site we had reserved. Someone in the office had made a mistake and rented the site for part of our week. They asked us to park in a different site. Needless to say, we were not happy campers and it got messy. Other than that, we very much enjoyed our week. They have a place where you can recycle cans and cardboard. There are 100 permanent sites. The side by side sites were nice whether you have friends across from you or not. Placement of the utility hookups in conjunction with the length of the site made it easy to get set up. There is no swimming pool but they have an area of the lake roped off for swimming. There were so many local people that came for the holiday weekend along with their friends, that parking and navigating the roads was a problem. Every site was filled and the open area that we thought would be reserved for tents had trailers parked every which way. The quiet time rule was not enforced. This is a family friendly resort (four playgrounds) with a full service restaurant and bar. The homemade pies are excellent. Everything is well-maintained and the setting with the lake, the river, and the hills is quite nice. The WI-FI seemed to be better the closer you are to the office.

We stayed at this park for several nights in the ‘skinny’ row. The sites had plenty of length for our 40’ motorhome and our dinghy. We were able to position so the utilities didn’t block our bay doors from opening. The rock/gravel pads were level but very narrow. Even though we were centered on the pad, our street-side slide hung over our neighbors paved patio. Our neighbors setup their grill to the front of their rig and ate their supper using a picnic table at an empty site. The roads seemed tight and narrow but we saw a 45’ rig with a 20-25’ trailer navigate just fine. The staff is friendly, helpful and we would not hesitate to stay here again for a short time.

This campground was recommended by friends and we were glad we came. Because of the time of year, it was not busy and that was a plus. We didn’t hear any road noise; only an occasional fog horn in the far distance. There are plenty of trees and that made maneuvering interesting. Be sure to tell them you have a satellite when making the reservation. There is recycling available for aluminum cans. We almost missed the sign directing us off the highway (it’s on the left side); the lettering needs painted. Our site was generous; the trees didn’t interfere with the slides. The utilities were well placed. The Wi-Fi throughout the park does not apply to all sites; we had to go to the laundry room for a good connection. The water pressure could have been better.

This is a typical fairground campground but with full service and 50 amps it met our needs. The campground is easy to access off the main street and the road is good. The level, grass sites are all back in and there is plenty of room to maneuver. They also offer weekly and monthly rates. Our only complaint was the ‘puncture vines’ that liked to stick to everything. We would have no problem staying here again.

When the hotel was still there, there was a campground behind it with 30amp sites. That is still there. The hotel has been replaced with a line of full-service, back-in, 50amp sites. There is more than ample room to maneuver at these new sites. Cable service is excellent. There is a beautiful library in town for WiFi. There wasn’t any shade. Recycling is available behind the Catholic church. Highway 20 can get busy during the day but we didn’t have any problem with road noise at night. The town of Atkinson has a lot to offer. Bicycle riding around town is easy or you can take the Cowboy Trail either east or west out of town. The staff is friendly and helpful.

We had a long, level pull-through site; everything was pretty tight, but everyone seemed to manage. We had a choice of shade (use their cable) or no shade (use our satellite). The interior roads were good, except for one corner. The free WiFi wasn’t working in the park the four nights we were there. Internet access only worked if you went up to the laundry room. We would come again for a short stay. There was no place to do any recycling.

The interior roads need work; you will want to observe the speed limit. Management did some patches during the time we were there. Our site was graveled; it was a long, level pull-thru in the back row with a great view and minimal interstate noise. The grassy area between the sites was very generous. The laundry room was clean and not expensive. WI-FI was $20 a month and we didn’t have any problems with it. The bathrooms are very nice. The resident owner does have rules and they are enforced. The dumpster is located at the entrance/exit to camp. Next to it are bins for recycling. The staff was nice, gracious, and very eager to help. They work hard and keep the facilities in good shape. We stayed here two months over the summer while we visited family and would not hesitate to come again. The $18 is a monthly rate plus metered electricity.

We camped here for two weeks in a full service site. If you make your reservation online the fee brings the nightly rate to almost $20. Going in without a reservation makes it easy to buy coupons which saves $3 per night. The roads are paved and the sites are crushed rock. Most of the sites have enough slope that it could make a larger rig difficult to level. The staff keeps the park well-maintained and makes sure the rules are followed. We have camped here several times and have always enjoyed our stay. It is almost always full on the weekends. We would like to see recycling offered.

The “B” loop sites (62-97) are full service with 50amp but they are close together with narrow roads and deteriorating pads. Many of them are sloped enough that it can be a challenge to level a motorhome. Sites 98-112 are better. “B” loop sites have an unusual pattern. We saw people who were unfamiliar with the layout have to ‘go around’ and come back in to get going the right way to get into their site. When we come back, we would camp in “C” loop. It has full service sites with 30amp and is more spacious. This park, and the ones close by, offer great hiking trails and the Prairie Wind Rail Trail starts at Ottawa goes south for over 30 miles. We enjoyed good food and free WIFI at the Whistle Stop Café in Melvern. The rate reflects a Senior Pass discount. We would like to be able to recycle at this park.

This is a City of Papillion RV Park with paved sites and paved roads. Some sites have 30amp and some have 50amp. The sites are spacious with nice landscaping, a paved patio and a spot to park your vehicle. There are several water hydrants and a dump station. There is no cable or WI-FI but the batwing works fine for the major TV channels. The park is clean, neat, and well kept. Next to the dumpster, there are containers for recycling. We camp here often. They are usually full on the weekends.

This is a nice park. At our site, W11, we had excellent WIFI and excellent water pressure. Setting up the satellite dish could be a problem at some sites because of the trees and the power lines along the road. The park sits on a hill and there is a pretty good slope as you drive into the sites and as you exit the sites. Our pad was level and there were two sewer connections, one at the back of the site and one more to the middle. The park’s location at the intersection of two interstates made it easy to get around the city. The price reflects a weekly rate. I would encourage the park to have recycling available for its guests.

The City RV Park in Auburn offers 50amp service and water at each site. There is a dump station. The interior road and the sites are all crushed rock but the grass seems to be taking over the sites. In all the times we have been here, it has not been busy and we’ve had our pick of sites. Even though the location is on the edge of town, we have always been safe. There is no WIFI or cable. For us it’s the perfect place to stay while we visit relatives in the area. We did get stickers in our bicycle tires which caused one flat tire. They do not offer recycling.

This is a fairly new park that is working on expansion and fine-tuning. There are cement pads with a small cement patio at each site. Most of the sites have good space in-between. A few of the sites have landscaping. The recreation hall is nice; there was just one planned activity during the 45 days we were there. There is no Wi-Fi or cable service. We would like to see the park offer a place to recycle, especially cans. If you have a rig of any size or height, watch carefully for the gnarly oak trees that are everywhere. The oaks add much to the ambiance of this campground, plus they provide shade and protection from the wind. There is the opportunity to do damage to a rig as we witnessed several times. Even though the work-camper came and trimmed branches at our site, there wasn’t room to use our awning. If you want peace and quiet, this is the place. the $8 rate reflects a monthly stay. Electricity was extra. We would camp here again if we could pick the site.

We paid $530 for one month plus electricity. They accept cash or check but no credit cards. This is an over 55 park with lots of activities catering to winter Texans. There is a weekly activity schedule, assigned mail boxes, and a key card to access some places. A work-kamper took us around on a golf cart so we could pick our site. Some of sites needed the trees trimmed and others just didn't allow enough turning radius for a large rig. We picked our site and then found that the service was only 30amp. The staff had us upgraded to 50amp within 24 hours. Our neighbors awning (when extended) is about 7 feet from the side of our rig. The sites are mainly filled by park models and the RV's fill in on the empty places. The wi-fi is an extra charge and is very poor. They are "working on it". We would stay here again when visiting the Valley.

The $27 reflects a weekly rate. The wi-fi is good but it is additional dollars. When you call for a reservation, make sure you are specific about what is needed. This was our second visit to this park and we stay here because it is the best park in Wichita when you are doing a quick visit.

We found it confusing to find the right direction to get into the campground. Almost all the sites were already occupied when we got there which was about 3PM. All but one of the sites are double; you park end to end and there are two sets of hookups. A lot of the stores in the outlet mall are closed or closing soon. This is a good campground for an overnight stop but there did seem to be some rigs setup on a more permanent basis.

We paid $300 a month plus electricity and stayed for two months. The owners live on-site and do everything they can to make you feel welcome and part of the family. The new Lodge (clubhouse) is a magnet for all the campers as well as the guests at the various cabins. There is a full kitchen, fireplace, TV, pool table, and lots of room for quilting and other activities. Because of the drought, the lake was dry but enjoyed our stay anyway. The wi-fi is secure and it is good. The sites are easy to get into and have paved patios. We also stayed here early in 2007 before their official opening and will stay here again. When we were ready to leave this time, there was a going-away party for us; you can't beat that!

We came late in the season to visit friends that were camped here. The roads had plenty of potholes. The sites were small but we were lucky to find a long enough one so there was room to adjust. The Wi-fi was good. Since it was so late in the season, there was no one at the office. On most days, someone would come to do whatever they needed to do and then leave again. It was a typical KOA; it was overpriced at $25.

We stayed here just two nights. TV channels via the bat wing were good. Wi-Fi was good. It was the end of the season and the park wasn't full so that helped with dust and noise. Our only complaint was that the trees needed trimming. It was not easy to get into the site without scratching the rig. For us (2 adults) it was a good spot for a short stay.

We've stayed in this campground several times while visiting relatives in the area. The paved sites are level and have plenty of room between you and your neighbor. There isn't cable and our bat wing only got a couple of channels. The Casino is the main attraction for this area; we would definitely stay here again.

This park has an unusual layout which wasn't a problem when we were there as it wasn't busy. We weren't always successful with the WIFI but the TV stations were OK. We stayed a couple of nights so we could visit the Badlands and the missle site. We would stay there again, but only for a short time.

We stayed a month in September. We didn't realize at first that they charge by the length of the rig. There can be a lot of highway noise which is annoying. The WIFI was good. Cable channels were limited and not all of them worked. It was windy at times and we did get tired of the long drives to see the area attractions. The sky on some nights was wonderful.

The $24 daily rate reflects a week spent in this campground. The interior roads were dusty and had quite a few potholes. Our weeks stay included Labor Day weekend so I had made a reservation ahead of time. The day before arrival I called to confirm. The owners said they would be gone on a trip when we got there so I asked for a site number that would be large enough and confirmed that we needed full service (water, 50amp, sewer) at the site. She said to use #12. We did. Towards the end of our stay, the water from our gray tank wasn't going away. When we called, the husband explained that there were some kind of valves at site 12, not sewer. Confused? We certainly were. We had only dumped the gray tank during the week, so as we left we went to their dump station to do the rest. We would only stay here again to visit family that live in Colby.

This is a city park and doesn't take reservations unless you are coming in as part of a club. Not all the sites are 50 amps. There is a lake for fishing (you need a fishing license) and a nice, paved hike/bike trail. We got the three major channels on our batwing. We have camped here several times and will do so again.
